Emilie and her husband Brett are total home go getters and I’ve been dying to share her mid century home makeover with you all for quite a while. Her style is light, industrial modern, with a dose of practical as they do real life with four kiddos. You’ll love it!
We did it! We completed our second One Room Challenge (along with over 180 other bloggers) and finished our master bathroom makeover in 6 weeks. As predicted, there were some bumps, but all in all we completed the vision and have been enjoying our completely made over space.
Do you love the look of all West Elm Mid Century Modern furniture? Um yes please, deliver that to my house and charge the neighbor! I jest. Kinda. Instead of buying this nightstand (left) for $330, why not make this Ikea Tarva Hack (right) for $45?
Eh eh? You know you want it. And it’s easy! Read more after the jump.
We purchased this house back in October 2015. It was built in the last 10 years so everything was structurally perfect with your standard builder fixtures and oak details. When we moved in I was 5 months pregnant and ready to do some extreme nesting, so I painted every wall in every room as well as all the baseboards and door trims.
Paint decisions kinda really suck. Normally, I just buy, paint and tell myself I love it, but with out kitchen cabinets, I just cant get there! My husband and I are in agreement that the lighting in the kitchen makes our cabinets look too blue. Therefore we Pinterested some Benjamin Moore black kitchen cabinet colors and bought another can of paint (impulsive much?).
With a baby on the way I felt it was time to have a proper guest bedroom for visitors to comfortably stay in! Therefore a guest room makeover was in order for this particular room. The electric blue was stunning though not quite the style I was going for. (But still, Go Hawks.)
